I have been working with trauma, loss, and the different effects in people’s lives throughout my work over the years. I have developed therapeutic programs in various agencies providing 1:1 therapy and groups of all kinds. I developed curriculums, facilitated groups and trainings for social services adoption agencies serving foster and adopted children. I’ve worked with families in crisis in home-based services as well as various settings in mental health agencies, residential, partial, and inpatient hospital programs, cancer treatment centers and schools.

I graduated with my MA from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA in 1991 and lived in the Boston area for 20 years. I moved to Denver, Colorado in 2007 after years of vacationing on hiking trips out here. I still love both places for very different reasons. Outside of work, I love to hike, bike, make art, travel to new places and garden.

In 2019, I traveled to Tanzania on a volunteer trip with a small group of therapists to collaborate with African counselors, teachers and clergy from Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia to learn about the rich ways that their cultures approach conflict and mental health. It was the trip of a lifetime!
